Stage classification
1, primary school
Primary school is called "primary school", which refers to the education stage from grade one to grade four. Those who pass the fourth grade will get a "junior high school" education. In 1970s, primary schools were generally established in underdeveloped rural areas of China. Rural schools in many areas are compound classes of primary schools with "one school, one teacher, one class".
2. Tall and short people
High school is called "advanced primary school", which means that the fifth and sixth grades of primary school are called "advanced grades", and those who pass the high school exam will get high school education. Before 1949, senior primary schools were not common in China.
3. Complete primary school
Schools with primary schools and senior primary schools are referred to as "complete primary schools" or "complete primary schools". After the implementation of "universal nine-year compulsory education" in China, the establishment of complete primary schools in rural areas has become the basic standard. Primary schools in county towns and cities above are generally complete, so they are no longer marked after the 1960s, while complete primary schools in rural areas are still the symbol of education popularization.
