Yu Fengxian (A.D. 1860~ 1939) was born in Funing County, Jiangsu Province. Born in a family of traditional Chinese medicine, he studied medicine with his father Yu Zanxiang when he was a teenager (Zanxiang became a doctor from the end of Daoguang to the middle of Guangxu), and he was familiar with classics, including masterpieces of past dynasties. He was brave in diagnosis and treatment, and chose the right prescription and the right time to use it. He praised typhoid, fever and difficult gynecological diseases, and achieved outstanding results. Middle-aged people become famous in Wan Li. He was one of the "Three Great Northern Jiangsu" in the late Qing Dynasty. After returning to Funing, due to the epidemic situation in this county and surrounding counties (including Suqian, Xuyi, Lianshui, Siyang and other counties), the number of people seeking medical treatment was limited to clothing. After years of exploration and research, my late father learned a lot in the diagnosis and treatment of epidemic diseases. This point was fully described in the Compilation of Medical Experience written by him in his later years. In 1930s, some medical records published in this book were adopted by Shanghai Medical Chunqiu. The Collection of Experience of Medical Prescriptions was compiled and published by his son Yu Wuyan (a famous Confucian classics scholar and educator of traditional Chinese medicine). In addition, there is a "record of experiencing discrimination", but there is no catalpa line. His son Yu Wuyan is also a famous doctor.
