Professor Li Zhengtao introduced why it is necessary to understand the frontier hot spots of basic education reform. He emphasized that as a researcher, you should have a vision and a vision; Have a vision, but also have a vision. Researchers should walk into the frontier, understand the frontier, grasp the frontier, stand at the frontier, gradually turn themselves into the frontier, and finally strive to achieve "I am the frontier"!

Secondly, Professor Li Zhengtao expounded how to grasp the forefront of basic education reform. Researchers should understand the basic trends and frontier hotspots of China's current basic education reform, and be able to achieve "six grasps", namely: first, major conferences, second, policy documents, third, top journals, fourth, representative figures, fifth, annual meeting forums, and sixth, project topics, with special attention to research literature and related achievements in recent five years.

Finally, Professor Li Zhengtao expounded ten hot issues in the current basic education reform, namely, moral education, building a quality education system, comprehensive education reform, intelligent education, future schools, the integration of five religions, cross-border learning, deep learning, educational methods, and implementing the "double reduction" policy.

He pointed out that to build a quality education system, we should not only pay attention to high quality, but also pay attention to the construction of "systems" such as governance system, curriculum system, teaching system, teaching and research system and evaluation system. In the future, schools should pay attention to four aspects: intelligent technology, humanities and arts, community society and nature.
