The function of fire control is to protect citizens' personal and property safety and defend socialist modernization.

Operators of fire control facilities (firemen of original buildings) belong to a special occupational type in the fire control industry. The vocational qualification certificate appraisal examination is implemented by the fire industry skill appraisal institution, ranking first among the five "access" vocational skill qualification certificates.

According to the provisions of the Fire Protection Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), all personnel engaged in fire safety management, fire safety inspection and operation and maintenance of fire protection facilities in buildings and structures must undergo formal training, assessment and certification.

The basic task of fire control is:

1, control and eliminate all unsafe conditions and factors of fire and explosion.
