The position of calligraphy education in calligraphy education
Calligraphy is a treasure of China traditional culture. Calligraphy teaching with Chinese characters as an important carrier is not only a kind of aesthetic education, but also has the comprehensive effects of moral education, intellectual education, fitness and aesthetics.

In August of 20 1 1, the Ministry of Education issued the Opinions on Developing Calligraphy Education in Primary and Secondary Schools, which made calligraphy teaching a compulsory course in basic education and required primary and secondary schools to carry out calligraphy education through relevant courses and activities. However, judging from the current implementation in various places, the implementation of this opinion is not optimistic. Therefore, we must pay enough attention to it, speed up the pace and further strengthen the calligraphy education in the basic education stage.

First of all, the curriculum system is not in place. Calligraphy course in basic education stage is different from Chinese literacy and writing course, and it is also different from pure calligraphy art education. It is a comprehensive course consisting of writing course, calligraphy education course and calligraphy art course. Calligraphy education, as a minor subject, is in a marginal position, and its curriculum system cannot be put in place smoothly.

Lack of teachers is the biggest bottleneck in developing calligraphy education. Even if there is only one calligraphy teacher in each primary and secondary school, there is still a big gap in terms of teachers. There are a series of problems in calligraphy education, and calligraphy textbooks are not in place. At present, there is no professional organization to compile corresponding relatively complete supporting teaching materials to meet the actual needs of calligraphy teaching in basic education. This has also brought many problems such as confusion and nonstandard teaching materials.

In view of the existing problems, the experts put forward some suggestions. On the basis of fully understanding the necessity of implementing calligraphy teaching in basic education, we should strengthen the construction of calligraphy teachers through various effective means and compile unified textbooks and workbooks that match the textbooks.

"Normal universities should strengthen the training of professional calligraphy teachers to meet the requirements of basic education for calligraphy courses. For the education department, it is also possible to make full use of the resource advantages of local book associations and jointly recommend some outstanding calligraphers as part-time calligraphy teachers in primary and secondary schools. " Sun Yi believes that in order to ensure standardization, calligraphy textbooks should be compiled by the Ministry of Education and reported to the Ministry of Education for the record, making it an authoritative unified textbook in the province. When compiling textbooks, we can seek and use the help of China Book Association and provincial book association.
