The construction of "golden curriculum" is a new development direction of undergraduate education reform in China. "Golden Curriculum" is a new term and concept in the field of higher education in China. Since its birth, it has set off another wave of higher education reform in China. Universities and majors all over the country have begun to reflect on "water courses" and actively offer "gold courses". As an integral part of higher education, college foreign languages (mainly college English) are no exception. The word "golden lesson" first appeared at the national undergraduate education work conference in the new era on 20 18. It was mentioned at the conference that "water lesson" should be made into a deep, difficult and challenging "golden lesson". Later, some scholars analyzed the concept of "golden class". "Golden Curriculum" can be considered as a general term for quality courses. The "golden classroom" consists of five parts: advanced classroom, dialogue classroom, open class and combination of knowledge and practice.
First, the combination of learning and thinking. The "golden lesson" can be summarized as "oneness": high order, innovation and challenge.
Characteristics and types of "golden stratum": "One gender" is not only an official concept, but also a basic feature of "golden stratum". In addition, the basic characteristics of the "golden curriculum" include: teacher-student interaction, process-oriented and strict requirements. At present, there are five types of gold lessons: offline gold lessons, online gold lessons, online and offline mixed gold lessons, virtual simulation gold lessons and social practice gold lessons.
Considering the professional characteristics, the "golden course" of college English mainly involves the first three kinds.
