Jiangsu Engineering Vocational and Technical College is a provincial public full-time ordinary college. The history of the school can be traced back to 19 12, the first specialized textile school in China founded by the famous patriotic industrialist and educator Mr. Zhang Jian. With a history of 100 years and profound cultural background, it has trained a large number of outstanding talents for the economic and social construction and development of Jiangsu and even the whole country. 1999 approved by the Ministry of Education, the school was upgraded to Nantong Textile Vocational and Technical College independently. In 2006, he achieved excellent results in the evaluation of talent training level in national higher vocational colleges. In 2007, it was identified as the construction unit of demonstration higher vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province. In 2008, it was determined by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as the "National Model Higher Vocational College Construction Plan". On June 20 1 1, it passed the national acceptance and became a national model higher vocational college. On May 20 14, with the approval of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and the record of the Ministry of Education, the school was renamed Jiangsu Engineering Vocational and Technical College. 20 18 was identified as the construction unit of high-level higher vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province. In 20 19, it was recognized as a "high-quality vocational college" by the Ministry of Education, and it was successfully selected as a high-level professional group construction unit of the national "Double High Plan". The school is located in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, which is known as "the first city in modern China". Located in Shanghai 1 hour economic circle, with convenient transportation and outstanding location advantages. The school covers an area of 7 10627 square meters, with a building area of 39354 1 square meter. The school has complete teaching facilities, advanced equipment, scientific teaching methods and wide application of modern educational technology, which basically realizes the informationization and electronization of books. The school has 185 experimental training rooms, including 12 experimental (training) rooms invested and named by enterprises and 16 productive training bases jointly built and shared with enterprises. Modern textile technology training base supported by the central government, National Home Textile Designer Vocational Qualification Training Center, Vocational College Sub-center of "Building Network Education Digital Learning Resource Center" project of Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance, National Textile and Clothing High-skilled Personnel Training Base, Jiangsu Advanced Textile Engineering Technology Center, Jiangsu Home Textile and Clothing Engineering Technology R&D Center, and Jiangsu Scenery Complementary Power Generation R&D Center. Jiangsu High-end Textile Industry-Education Integration Platform, Jiangsu Demonstration Training Base, Jiangsu Higher Education Talent Training Innovation Experimental Base, Jiangsu Intelligent Networked Automobile Engineering Technology R&D Center, Jiangsu Basic Course Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, and National Vocational Skills Appraisal Institute will jointly build Haimen Binhai Productive Training Base with Haimen Municipal People's Government. Established Nantong Aviation Training Center in cooperation with Huaxia Aviation Engineering Co., Ltd., and successfully obtained CCAR 147 aircraft maintenance training qualification of CAAC and CCAR66 aircraft maintenance test center qualification. It is the only higher vocational college in Jiangsu Province that has obtained both qualifications. The school cooperated with Germany KUKA Group to build KUKA Robot Jiangsu Application and Training Center, which is the designated training unit for skilled personnel in East China of KUKA Group. The school has more than full-time students 10000, which is a comprehensive university with engineering as the main body. At present, there are seven secondary colleges, including Textile and Apparel College, Intelligent Manufacturing College, Economic Management College, Art and Design College, Civil Engineering College, Aviation and Transportation Engineering College and Information Engineering College, as well as teaching institutions such as Marxism College, Zhang Jian Innovation and Entrepreneurship College, Basic Education Department and Sports Department. Set up 52 majors (directions), traditional majors highlight brand characteristics, and emerging majors are close to social needs. There are high-level specialty groups with China characteristics 1 group, 7 national backbone specialties, 4 key construction specialties in national demonstrative higher vocational colleges, 2 specialties supported by the central government to improve the development ability of professional service industry in higher vocational colleges, 4 high-level specialty groups in Jiangsu Province, 2 first-phase construction projects of brand specialty construction plan in colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province, and "double-certificate pilot" specialty in Jiangsu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security 1 group. At present, the school has 5 national excellent resource sharing courses, online excellent courses in Jiangsu Province 16, 9 textbooks for the 13th Five-Year Plan and 20 key textbooks in Jiangsu Province. The school strives to build a team of teachers with noble morality, advanced thinking, high teaching level, strong practical teaching ability, combination of full-time and part-time jobs and reasonable structure. There are 403 full-time teachers in the college, of which 35% are teachers with senior titles and 74% are teachers with master's degree or above. The proportion of "double-qualified" teachers reached 67.94%.
