Key Laboratory of Modern Manufacturing Technology, Ministry of Education, is a scientific research institution directly under Guizhou University. Have excellent academic leaders, academic leaders, and academic teams with young and middle-aged and highly educated talents as the mainstay. Mainly engaged in advanced manufacturing mode and manufacturing information system, laser micromachining and surface treatment technology, manufacturing technology and equipment and other aspects of scientific research and high-level personnel training.

The Key Laboratory of Modern Manufacturing Technology of the Ministry of Education is headed by Professor Xie Qingsheng, and the Academic Committee is headed by Academician Sun, the chief scientist in the field of advanced manufacturing and automation under the National 863 Program. The laboratory has undertaken more than 40 national key scientific and technological research projects, the National 863 Program, the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Development and Reform Commission demonstration projects, the Ministry of Education, Guizhou Province and Guiyang City. He has won more than 20 awards, including the National Invention Exhibition Gold Award, the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Achievement Award and the Guizhou Science and Technology Progress Award. Many achievements have reached the domestic leading level. More than 30 scientific research achievements have been applied, of which 4 achievements have been widely used, and obvious social and economic benefits have been achieved.

During the "Ninth Five-Year Plan" and "Tenth Five-Year Plan" period, the technological transformation of local machinery industry and the informatization project of manufacturing industry were implemented, which provided technical support for hundreds of enterprises in the province and technical training for tens of thousands of employees. It has played an important role in the scientific and technological innovation of China Guihang Group Company, China Jiangnan Aerospace Group Company, China Zhenhua Group Company and a number of local key manufacturing enterprises, and has successively undertaken and completed a number of major projects such as the development and application of knowledge-based virtual prototype design system, the "30 10 project" of manufacturing informatization in Guizhou Province and the "1050 project" of manufacturing informatization in Guiyang City, which is the development of manufacturing in China and Guizhou Province.

He has presided over and participated in the Ninth Five-Year Plan and Implementation Plan of CAD Application Engineering in Guizhou Province, the Tenth Five-Year Plan of Manufacturing Information Development in Guizhou Province, the Tenth Five-Year Plan of Guiyang Enterprise Information Development, the Eleventh Five-Year Plan of Guiyang Enterprise Information Development and the Eleventh Five-Year Plan of Guizhou Manufacturing Information Development.

The Key Laboratory of Modern Manufacturing Technology of the Ministry of Education is a platform for the cultivation and development of high-level talents. Relying on the postdoctoral workstation of mechanical engineering project, doctoral degree program of mechanical manufacturing and automation, first-class master degree program of mechanical engineering, provincial engineering technology center and productivity promotion center, we will actively train scientific and technological talents at different levels for enterprises and institutions.
