Tianjin Sino-German Universities of Applied Sciences is the first Universities of Applied Sciences approved by the Ministry of Education in China. Its predecessor, tianjin sino-german vocational technical college, was founded in 1985 by merging the former Tianjin Sino-German Modern Industrial Technology Training Center and the former Tianjin Enterprise Management Training Center. This is the largest cooperation project between China and German, Japanese and Spanish governments in the field of vocational education and training. The school is located in Tianjin Haihe Education Park on the coast of Bohai Sea, and is affiliated to Tianjin Municipal Government.
