Haizhen Zhang, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress and chairman of the District Federation of Trade Unions, briefly reviewed the work of employees in our district since the 600-day action to welcome the Expo, and made comprehensive arrangements for the in-depth development of the practical activities of Qingpu employees on the theme of "civilized service, civilized view of the Expo and civilized travel". At the launching ceremony, He Yong, the representative of the Third Congress of Trade Unions and the chairman of Shanghai Zhanhua Electronics Co., Ltd., on behalf of all the representatives of the Third Congress of Trade Unions, issued an initiative of "dedicating and sharing the Expo" to trade union organizations and workers at all levels in the region. Staff representatives from Zhujiajiao Town Federation of Trade Unions and Zhujiajiao Guzhen Tourism Company, one of the theme practice areas of the World Expo, made exchange speeches on welcoming, serving and contributing to the World Expo respectively. The meeting conveyed the propaganda pictorial of "civilized service, civilized knowledge and civilized travel" and "ten dos and ten don 'ts" to the representatives of trade union cadres in various towns and streets.
After the ceremony, Liu Yanguo, Deputy Secretary-General of the Municipal Speech Society and distinguished lecturer of the Oriental Forum, gave a special report on the practice activities of the theme of "Three Civilizations" to nearly 700 representatives of the three trade union congresses in all towns, committees, bureaus and directly affiliated companies, all members of the first Council of the District Model Workers Association, all members of the District Workers' High-skilled Talents Association, some model workers and enterprise workers' representatives.
