Historical evolution of Cihang Jingyuan
The founder of Cihang Cleanliness Institute is Master Hongyuan, who originally taught Buddhism in Nyoraiji. Later, due to the government's land resumption, the "Cihang Water Dojo" was set up in Sha Tin on 19 14 to attract all beings. Master Zhilin became a monk in Nyoraiji since childhood, and studied Buddhism under Master Hongyuan. Later, he rounded up his tools at Jinshan Temple in Zhenjiang, where he made great progress and won great respect from teachers. Master Hongyuan then handed over the Dojo to Master Zhilin.

At that time, the Hall of the Great Hero, the Hall of the Wei Tuo and the Fangguan in the Dojo were completed one after another, spreading Buddhism widely and benefiting students. With the generous donations of Mr. Hu Wenhu and Mr. Xuande Shanxin, the hospital was expanded and named "Cihang Clean Hospital". The kindergarten voluntary school, originally located in the Dojo lecture hall, has been expanded into Cihang School to educate out-of-school children and benefit the villagers. Master Zhilin died in 1932, and his younger brother Master Zhihai carried forward the purpose of popularizing Buddhism and promoting education in Jingyuan.
