Self-study examination of higher education is a national examination of higher education for self-learners. It is the product of the combination of individual self-study, social assistance and national examination, and it is an important part of China's socialist higher education system.
Its task is to promote a wide range of individual self-study and social assistance activities through national examinations, to promote on-the-job professional education and post-university continuing education, to cultivate and select professionals with both ability and political integrity, to improve the ideological and moral, scientific and cultural quality of the whole nation, and to meet the needs of socialist modernization.
Self-taught higher education examination has become the largest form of socialized and open higher education in China.
Learning and training
1, taught by professional teachers with rich teaching experience, to cultivate compound talents with one specialty and many functions, to carry out vocational skills training and certification while carrying out academic education, and to enhance students' employability.

Students who have completed all the courses of a major, obtained the required credits in each subject after examination, and the ideological and moral appraisal meets the requirements, are awarded the graduation certificate printed by the Ministry of Education, signed by the self-study examination committee and universities, electronically registered and entered the online inquiry system of the Ministry of Education, and their academic qualifications are recognized by the state. After being employed by non-on-the-job personnel, they enjoy the same treatment as full-time college graduates. Undergraduate graduates can apply for a bachelor's degree according to relevant regulations.
3. Graduates can also register for the national postgraduate entrance examination and apply for civil servants.
