The library of Ningda University has a collection of more than 65,438+300,000 volumes and orders more than 2,000 Chinese and foreign periodicals and newspapers every year. It mainly collects professional literature in Chinese, English and Japanese, especially literature, economy, politics, law, English, biology, machinery, architecture and computer. At the same time, in close cooperation with the development of key disciplines in the school, literature collection in the fields of engineering mechanics, theoretical physics, inorganic chemistry, aquaculture, international trade, circuits and systems has formed characteristics. And gradually built a collection system covering all kinds of disciplines and majors in the school, with relatively complete Chinese and foreign literature resources. The library also collects modern materials such as Shenbao, Ta Kung Pao, Republic of China Series and Liangyou Pictorial. There is also a rich collection of ancient books, including a photocopy of Sikuquanshu in Wenjinge, a catalogue series of Sikuquanshu, a sequel to Sikuquanshu, a four-part series, and an anthology of local chronicles of Ming Dynasty in Tianyi Pavilion. At the same time, the library also has rich multimedia digital resources, including more than 400,000 kinds of e-books, more than 40 kinds of Chinese and foreign databases, more than 200 sub-databases and more than 20,000 kinds of full-text electronic periodicals in Chinese and foreign languages, which together constitute the document guarantee system for the sustainable development of teaching and scientific research in Ningda University.
The library has established an advanced computer network system, and all business work is managed by computers. In order to support the information retrieval service under the network environment, the capacity of special storage equipment in digital library has reached 120TB. There are more than 600 computer terminals connected to campus network, education network and Internet. The lobby of each building is equipped with a public retrieval machine for everyone to query, and readers can query information anytime and anywhere on campus.
