First of all, Xu Wei revised the Complete Book of Four Kus in Wenlange. From 19 15, it has gone through ten spring and autumn periods, spanning two periods of "Yi Mao's supplementary copying" (spontaneous by the people) and "Guihai's supplementary copying" (official behavior), during which it donated money and contributed, and always acted as the protagonist (general school). Because of the meritorious service of "making up lessons", the portraits of Xu Wei (general school) and Du Fu (inspector) have been hung in the Wen Lan Pavilion at the beginning of liberation for future generations to pay tribute to. Second, Xu Wei founded the Sinology Research Association in Shaoxing, which contributed to the promotion of sinology culture. Educator Cai Yuanpei once commented on Xu Wei in Biography of Xu Meisheng: "Being quiet and not vulgar, wandering mountains and rivers, playing with the words of Confucianism in Song and Ming Dynasties, and being Zen and pleasing, is the most paternal".
