The Vietnamese major in university of international business and economics was founded in 1954, which is one of the earliest languages offered in the school. For decades, many Vietnamese graduates have been trained for our country. Most of these graduates work in the Ministry of Commerce, international radio stations, major foreign trade companies, foreign-funded enterprises and other state organs, and have made great contributions to the national economic and trade undertakings and friendly exchanges between China and Vietnam.

Professor of this major 1, associate professor 1. Professor Lei is currently the director of China Non-General Language Teaching Research Association. Nie Bing, associate professor, director of Vietnamese Department of university of international business and economics Foreign Studies University, executive director of Vietnam Branch of China Non-common Language Teaching Research Association, whose research direction is Vietnamese economy and culture, has published many papers.

The main courses are: Vietnamese basics, Vietnamese grammar, audio-visual speaking, general situation of Vietnam, Vietnamese intensive reading, Vietnamese reading, negotiation and interpretation, economic and trade anthology, literary anthology, newspaper anthology, translation theory and practice, economic and trade practical writing, rhetoric and writing, etc. Among them, negotiation and interpretation, economic and trade anthology and economic and trade practical writing are featured courses.
