Yixing, referred to as Yi for short, is a county-level city in Jiangsu Province, managed by Wuxi City. In the 26th year of Qin Shihuang (22 1 year BC), the county was established, and Jingyi was changed to Yangxian. In the ninth year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (589), it was renamed Yixing County. The first year of Xingguo in Song Taiping (976) was changed to Yixing County. 1988 1 Cancel Yixing County and establish Yixing City (county-level city).

Gehu Lake is embedded between Yixing and Wujin, and three Zelkova trees (East Zelkova, Group Zelkova and West Zelkova) accompany the east and west sides of Yicheng. The terrain is high in the south and low in the north, with low mountains and hills in the southwest. The highest peak in the city is Huangta, with an altitude of 611.5m. Taihu Lake in the east is a blasphemous area, suitable for planting all kinds of vegetables. The north and west are plain areas and low-lying polder areas respectively, which are the main producing areas of grain and oil crops in Yixing. The total area of the city is 1996.6 square kilometers, and the urbanization rate is 64.75%.

Yixing area is rich in resources, and there is a lot of land that can be developed and utilized. Abundant precipitation, dense rivers and lakes, rich water resources, water area of 532.6 square kilometers. There are 30 natural lakes (not including Taihu Lake). There are 27 kinds of proven minerals, such as limestone, marble, sandstone, coal and peat. The unique clay in Shushan is the first-class raw material for making purple sand utensils. There are timber forests dominated by bamboo, pine and fir, which is the most abundant area of bamboo forest resources in Jiangsu Province. The tea planting area is 74,900 mu, and the total output of tea is 633 1 ton, which is the main tea producing area in Jiangsu Province. There are hundreds of wild birds such as wild ducks, orioles, orioles, wolves, wild boars, hedgehogs, squirrels and other wild mammals, and dozens of aquatic products such as whitebait, crucian carp, grass carp, mussels and crabs.
