Debate on the purpose of education
"People-oriented" is a new requirement put forward by the Decision of the Third Plenary Session of the 16th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC). People-oriented means to seek and promote development based on people's fundamental interests, constantly meet people's growing material and cultural needs, earnestly safeguard people's economic, political and cultural rights and interests, and make development achievements benefit all people.

The people-oriented concept mentioned here is based on the broad masses of the people. The people here are neither abstract nor definite. Everything is for the people and everything depends on the people, that is, everything is for the people and everything depends on the people. People and people here mean the same thing.

Today, in the face of education, we should also distinguish who should be the main body of education, and teachers should educate students. Then the students here must be the main body, and the teacher is the guide. The fundamental purpose of the student-centered education model is to urge students with different qualities and specialties to make up for each other's shortcomings and get what they want. The effective way to achieve this goal is to teach students in accordance with their aptitude; The key lies in whether the potential of students has been properly and fully developed. The inner quality of students (so-called "material") is the basis of potential development. Therefore, the process of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude should be similar to "carving" in artistic creation, not "shaping". Artists use meticulous carving to fully show the characteristics and advantages of materials, while teachers should stimulate students to release their potential and show their talents as much as possible. Never use standardized indicators to evaluate, obliterate students' personality and suppress students' initiative tendency. Teachers should encourage students to do their best in every course they study. As a result, many students will inevitably succeed in different fields and win honors.

If we can adhere to the "student-centered" educational concept, it will certainly promote the fundamental change of teaching concept, and will also push the school's teaching reform practice to a new level and achieve remarkable results.

So I insist that student-centered education is the best education!
