Ma Benzhai Mother and Child Martyrs Cemetery is located in the north of Benzhai Village, Benzhai Township, xian county, Cangzhou City. It was built in memory of the mother and son of Ma Benzhai, the national hero of the Anti-Japanese War. Covering an area of 105 mu, it is divided into south house and north house. The South Yard is the Ma Benzhai Mother and Child Martyrs Cemetery. The plaque was inscribed by Liu Huaqing, former member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau and vice chairman of chairman of the Central Military Commission. In the center of the courtyard, the tall white marble monument goes straight into the sky, with the inscriptions of President Mao Zedong and Commander-in-Chief Zhu De on the front and back respectively. Looking up, the blue sky and white clouds attract many reverie. Years have passed, and the people of Sri Lanka have passed away, and their spirit will last forever. To the south of the monument is the mausoleum of Ma Benzhai's mother and son, which is paved with white marble.

The crescent flower bed at the bottom is embraced in Islamic style. On both sides of the square are evergreen cypresses, which are tall and solemn. In addition, there are film and television halls and memorial halls. The film and television hall mainly displays documentary CDs and video materials. There are many famous people in the memorial hall, such as General Zhang Aiping, General Lv Zhengcao and General Yang Chengwu.

The North Courtyard is separated from the South Courtyard by a road, which is the main hall of Ma Benzhai Memorial Hall. The plaque was inscribed by Ouyang Zhongshi, a famous calligrapher in China. Entering the courtyard gate, there is a straight and wide Yong road, with hundreds of general forest of steles on both sides, and a mother-child lake on the outside of the forest of steles. At the end of the road is a square with a statue of Ma Benzhai riding in the center and an auxiliary pavilion on each side. Behind the statue is the main hall of Ma Benzhai Memorial Hall. There are gentle steps in front of the main hall. Climbing the stairs gives you a sense of loftiness step by step. Entering the memorial hall is the preface hall. There is a white marble statue of Ma Benzhai at the entrance, surrounded by flowers and baskets presented by tourists. Behind the statue is a huge relief background wall with seven characters inscribed by Chairman Mao: "Comrade Ma Benzhai will not die". The exhibition hall is devious and divided into eleven parts. By combining pictures, objects, sand tables, words and television, it reproduces the martyrs' life of worrying about the country and the people, the noble character of Ma's mother who would rather die than surrender, and the heroic and combative style of the Hui detachment praised by Chairman Mao. Out of the main pavilion, there is a water system around the pavilion connected with the mother and son lake. There are Lu Yong and green belts on both sides of the water system for tourists to play.

1985, Mamu Temple with three rooms was built in xian county. After many constructions, it covers an area of 3,000 square meters and has 12 rooms, including three large exhibition rooms. The Ma Benzhai Mother and Child Martyrs Cemetery is engraved with the white marble monument inscribed by Mao Zedong and Zhu De.

1999 was named as a provincial patriotic education base by the leading group for the construction of patriotic education bases in Hebei Province. In June of the same year, in order to further carry forward the spirit of patriotism, with the approval of the leading group for the construction of patriotic education base in Hebei Province, it was decided to build a memorial hall for national hero Ma Benzhai, which was invested by provinces and cities respectively, and the Propaganda Department of the CPC xian county County Committee was responsible for organizing the implementation.

In mid-June, 2005, the exhibition was completed at 5438+065438+ 10, and the electronic touch screen and LCD TV were installed after the renovation. The multimedia scene adopts various means such as sound, light and electricity, which shows the brave spirit of the Hui people's detachment.

In August, 2008, according to the overall planning of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Ma Benzhai Memorial Hall was rebuilt and expanded for the third time in our county. The expansion scale has been expanded from the original 10 mu to 105 mu. The main body has been completed and the exhibition work has been carried out in an orderly manner. The newly-built memorial hall integrates leisure, sightseeing and education, which greatly enhances the taste of sightseeing and education.

In 2004, Ma Benzhai Memorial Hall was selected as one of the top ten red tourism classic scenic spots in Hebei Province.

In 20051October, 165438 was named as the third batch of national patriotic education demonstration bases by Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, and was rated as one of the top 100 red tourism classic scenic spots in China by the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Tourism Administration and Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China.

In August 2006, it was named as the National Education Base for National Unity and Progress by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission.

On March 2, 2008, KLOC-0, the Ma Benzhai Martyrs Cemetery in xian county, Hebei Province was opened to the public free of charge.
