In Han Dynasty, Jia Yi put forward the idea of early education, choosing a good teacher for children, and children's all-round development in morality, intelligence and physique in his works such as Prenatal Education and Encouraging Learning. Jia Yi's thoughts also pay attention to the characteristics of children's physical and mental development.
