Tongliao No.5 Middle School is located in Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia. Founded in 1963, 1979 was identified as the first batch of key middle schools in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In April, 2002, it was approved by the Education Department of the autonomous region as the first demonstration ordinary high school at the autonomous region level in Tongliao. There are seven teaching buildings and experimental buildings.
The school has been recognized in many aspects in the field of high school education in the autonomous region and even in the whole country. In 2002 and 2008, it was awarded the "Chang 'an Cup" twice by the Party Committee and Government of the Autonomous Region for Comprehensive Management of Social Security, and in 2008, it was awarded the title of "National Advanced Unit for Spiritual Civilization Construction" by the Central Steering Committee for Spiritual Civilization Construction.
In 2009, it was named "National Advanced Unit of Mass Sports" by the State Sports General Administration; 20 1 1 was named as "National Civilized Unit" by the Central Steering Committee for Spiritual Civilization Construction, and was awarded the honorary title of "Excellent School of Modern Education Technology in the Autonomous Region" by the Education Department of the Autonomous Region.

In 20 17, it was named as "National Defense Education Characteristic School" by the Ministry of Education, and was identified as the first batch of "Intellectual Property Education Pilot Units" in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region by the Science and Technology Department and the Education Department.
In terms of cultural construction, the school has established the "five-middle culture" with "people-oriented, pursuing Excellence" as its ideological core and the "five-middle spirit" with "respecting morality, learning morality, loyalty and perfection" as its content.
