Notes on educational emotion
The Mood of Education is co-authored by Canadian phenomenological researcher Max van Manen and Professor Li Shuying. This book is completely different from the books on education that I have read in the past. The author does not blindly teach boring theoretical knowledge, but lets us know about life experience and feel the emotional appeal of education through the sharing of short stories. After reading this book, I woke up and hoped that I could learn to educate tactfully and become an emotional educator.

A little girl with strong self-esteem did badly in the exam, so she quietly erased a wrong answer, filled in the correct answer, and then went to the teacher to correct the score. The teacher immediately saw through the girl's mind, but she didn't show it directly. Instead, she added a point to the test paper and said, "Oh, maybe I was wrong. If I do something wrong, I will correct it! " He added: "People should be honest, right?" The meaningful words made the child uneasy for a long time, and finally the little girl admitted her mistake to the teacher.

This is a case mentioned in the book, which the author uses to illustrate what "educational tact" is. The wit of education lies in being able to understand the child's experience at this time in a very subtle way, so as to immediately respond to "what should I do for this child at this moment?" It is not only a skill, but also an impromptu and on-the-spot response ability. In the book, the teacher used casual words to make the child feel ashamed, thus taking the initiative to admit his mistake, which perfectly showed his educational wit.

Mr. Fan Meinan once said: "The sensitivity and wit of education is the ability of education managers to enter the world of children's experience, and this ability is a special talent, which is related to our behavior, both from the mind and from the knowledge of the mind. The difference between the profession of teachers and other professions is that teachers are in contact with lively and lovely children, so teachers can only enter the inner world of children by putting their true feelings into it. Excellent teachers should not only have high-level teaching ability, but also have educational sensitivity and wit. So how can we cultivate this ability?

As future teachers, we should have a certain keenness, but some of this keenness is innate, while others need to accumulate experience in daily life. Looking back on the previous class, the teacher not only taught us knowledge but also gave us the direction of life. This practice is unconscious and used to it, which is educational sensitivity. In addition, we should learn to understand the eyes, which can not only convey the overall mood, but also reflect some subtle meanings. In the final analysis, the process of observing and understanding the eyes is to understand the most authentic and undisguised thoughts of students. You can't learn the same educational wit. It has something to do with experience, knowledge, values and whether a person is willing to contribute to education and teaching. In the final analysis, educational tact and sensitivity are things that a good teacher must learn but can never finish, so he can only grope his way forward slowly. Entering the children's experience world means that we can't always think from our own point of view, but put ourselves in the students' shoes and think about what ways they can accept and what ways they are willing to accept from the students' point of view.

Confucianism has a great influence on China people, and its representative, Confucius and Mencius, advocates "benevolence". Confucius is not only the representative of Confucianism, but also the first educator in China. He advocates teaching students in accordance with their aptitude and teaching them without distinction, all of which are manifestations of benevolence. The idea that education needs great love lies in a wide range. We should love the profession of teachers, the subjects we teach and everything that comes from education. This kind of love is also inclusive in content, including students' mistakes and tedious work ... This kind of love is not just talk, but action, which constantly allows students to grow and let themselves grow in practice.

There are no identical snowflakes in the world. Similarly, there are no two identical children in the world. Every child is unique, and different children will show different reactions even in the same situation. When we notice this, it can make us think. When we try to find the universal law of education, it is easy to ignore the particularity of children. Therefore, we should not only learn pedagogy theory, but also see individuals. We need to observe and listen to a specific child or a group of specific children in a specific situation, interact with him or them, and give him or them feedback, so as to cultivate and maintain the sensitivity and wit of education. With a rich ideological foundation, our sensitivity and wit in getting along with children can be continuously improved.

As parents, everyone wants their children to succeed; As a teacher, everyone wants his students to teach you to shine. However, this process is often overwhelming and even counterproductive. Adults are always unconsciously setting an example for children, which has a positive or negative impact on children. When adults are no longer just role models that children try to imitate, but become real role models and set an example to teach children correct values, they will play an educational role in life. We are no longer just teachers who impart knowledge, witty teachers, and always guide students to know what kind of life they should live and how to be a person.

Pedagogy is a complicated and subtle knowledge. Children are sensitive to every change of mood and atmosphere. Pedagogy refers to the ability to distinguish what is suitable and what is not suitable for growing children. It is difficult for us to say whether there are any specific rules or general principles here. More is to accumulate experience in practice and reflect and summarize in time. Through constant reflection, we will gradually form a power of reflection, which can improve our sensitivity to educational situations and urge us to make witty behaviors in the face of specific educational situations.

What is the mood of education? In my opinion, the emotional appeal of education is to use our love to let children grow up in teaching and students grow up in education. After reading this book, I gained a lot. I hope I can apply the inspiration from the book to my future education and teaching. I can't help but feel that teachers have a long way to go! Conclude with a favorite sentence in the book! "Teaching is not for later life. Teaching and educating people is part of life. We should make our lives with our children better! "
