Liaoyuan Vocational and Technical College is a public and specialized college approved by the Ministry of Education. The school, formerly known as Liaoyuan Mining Institute, was founded in August 1958.
From June 65438 to July 0999, Jilin Industrial School merged with Liaoyuan Vocational College and Liaoyuan Branch of Jilin Radio and TV University to form Liaoyuan Vocational and Technical College with the same name. It is a national pilot college for training skilled talents in short supply and a model higher vocational college in Jilin Province.
As of March 20021year, the college was divided into three campuses: headquarters, medical branch and adult campus. The school covers an area of 332,600 square meters, with a building area of 15 1600 square meters.
