Generally speaking, most boarding schools in Britain are limited to the following grades:
Grade 9 and below, for students aged 65,438+03 and under 65,438+03 (based on September 65,438+0 of the year of enrollment), suitable for junior high school and primary school students in China.

GCSE is a two-year course. Students are over 14 years old and under 15 years old (subject to 1 in September of the year of enrollment), which is suitable for senior two students in China. Please note that British boarding schools generally do not accept overseas students 1 1 grade.

Two-year A-LEVEL course, students are over 16 years old but not over 18 years old (based on September 1 day of the year of admission), which is suitable for domestic senior one and senior two students.
For domestic junior high school students. You can choose three study plans.
1. Take a GCSE course in the UK for two years, and then connect with A LEVEL course for two years. It takes four years to complete secondary education and enter university in Britain.
2. 1+2 study plan: Take Pre A LEVEL (also called 1 year IGCSE course) in the UK to improve English level and academic level, take the A-Level entrance examination for British middle schools in1month and 65438+February, and enter the accepted middle schools to take the formal A-Level entrance examination in September of the following year.
3.3-year continuous courses: Some schools provide three-year A-level courses for students who graduated from Grade Three (1 year is specially designed to improve students' English level and professional knowledge and prepare for the A-LEVEl courses starting in the second year). Students study in a school for three years in a row, then complete secondary education and enter the university.

Under normal circumstances, the school does not accept applications from students over 8 years old in September of the year of admission/before 1.

Most schools require applicants to have a high level of English. Generally speaking, students applying for GCSE are required to reach at least IELTS 5, and students applying for A-LEVEL are required to reach IELTS 6. For students whose English can't meet the above requirements, many schools will require them to take preparatory courses in Britain before entering the main course. Remind parents to fully understand the importance of English, and reserve enough time for students to go to Britain in advance to adapt to the environment of all-English education and enter the formal curriculum as soon as possible.
Most British boarding schools have a limited number of places for overseas students every year. Therefore, in order to ensure the success of the application, please apply as soon as possible (12 months in advance).
