Xuchang Kindergarten Normal School, formerly known as Xiangcheng Normal School in Henan Province, is a full-time public school approved by the People's Government of Henan Province 1980 and filed by the Ministry of Education. It is a national key middle school, a provincial-level "civilized campus", a provincial-level "vocational education characteristic college", a provincial-level "advanced collective of education system", a provincial-level "model school governing by law", a provincial-level "advanced unit of vocational education teaching and research", and Xuchang people are satisfied. In June 2005, Xiangcheng Normal School in Henan Province was renamed Xuchang Vocational and Technical School. On March 20 12, with the approval of Henan Provincial Department of Education, Xuchang Vocational and Technical School was renamed Xuchang Preschool Normal School. The school is the only one of the nine secondary preschool normal schools in Henan Province approved by the Provincial Department of Education, and the only secondary preschool normal school in Xuchang, Pingdingshan and Luohe that can issue teachers' diplomas.

The school has distinctive characteristics. Over the past 40 years, through the unremitting efforts of Xuchang kindergarten teachers, the school has gradually formed its unique characteristics and advantages, formed a multi-level school-running pattern with 3+2 college education as the main body and technical secondary education as the main body, and built a discipline system with normal majors as the main body.

The school offers general full-time junior college (3+2) majors such as preschool education, music performance, environmental art design and computer technology application, and full-time secondary school majors such as children, music performance, painting and network information technology.
