M Klein (1908.5.1-1992.5.10) is an American mathematical historian, mathematical educator, applied mathematician, mathematical philosopher and applied physicist. Born in Brooklyn, new york, USA. 1930 graduated with honors from new york university, then studied for a degree, 1932 got a master's degree, and 1936 got a doctorate. After receiving his doctor's degree, he studied topology at Princeton Institute of Advanced Studies on 1936- 1938, and returned to new york University as a professor of arts and sciences on 1938 to study applied mathematics under the guidance of the famous mathematician Courand. During World War II, M Klein worked as a physicist in the US Army Communications Force in Belma, New Jersey, USA. The engineering laboratory where he worked invented radar. After the war, he continued to study electromagnetism there. Because of his important achievements in applied mathematics research, he has been the director of the electromagnetic theory research office of Courand Institute for 20 years since 1946, and obtained the position of full professor from 1952. From 1959, he also served as the head of the Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts and Sciences of Brooklyn University, new york, until 1970 retired.
