Can Rizhao secondary vocational school take an undergraduate course?
Of course.

Recently, I learned from Rizhao Education Examination Center that 168 secondary vocational school graduates who took the college entrance examination this spring were admitted to ordinary undergraduate colleges, and 1558 was admitted to ordinary higher vocational colleges. All secondary vocational students who register for the spring college entrance examination can basically be admitted to ordinary colleges and universities.

Since 20 12, college enrollment in our province has been divided into spring college entrance examination and summer college entrance examination for different types of students. The spring college entrance examination (held in May every year) is mainly for graduates of secondary vocational schools, and the summer college entrance examination (held in June every year, which is the "college entrance examination" in people's traditional impression) is mainly for ordinary high school graduates. Comparatively speaking, the college entrance examination in spring is easier to enter a university than the college entrance examination in summer. According to reports, the subjects of the spring college entrance examination are Chinese, mathematics, foreign languages, professional basic knowledge and professional basic skills. Students in secondary vocational schools can choose their interested majors and take basic cultural courses that suit them, which makes it easier for them to study and further their studies.

It is understood that most of the 168 secondary vocational students admitted to Rizhao ordinary undergraduate colleges this year scored about 400 points in the senior high school entrance examination. "I didn't expect it to be easier to go to a secondary vocational school than a senior high school entrance examination university!" Faced with such a high admission rate for the spring college entrance examination, many secondary vocational school students and parents have expressed such feelings.

In recent years, the state attaches great importance to the development of vocational education and strives to build a modern vocational education system that runs from top to bottom and from left to right. Students in secondary vocational schools can also take exams for junior college, undergraduate, master and doctor.

Secondary vocational school students will have the opportunity to enter undergraduate colleges or higher vocational colleges when they take the spring college entrance examination. This year, there are 5,570 undergraduates enrolled in the spring college entrance examination in our province, more than double that of last year. According to the introduction of the Provincial Education Admissions Examination Institute, the undergraduate programs of the college entrance examination will increase substantially next spring, and will increase year by year in the future.

—— The secondary vocational and higher vocational (junior college) colleges in Rizhao City are connected from top to bottom, and the main forms are "three-two continuous reading" and "five-year consistent system". After graduating from junior high school, students enter secondary vocational schools and get college diplomas five years later.

—— This year, our province launched a pilot program of "3+4" sectional training and enrollment for secondary vocational schools and ordinary undergraduate colleges in nine secondary vocational schools. After gaining experience, it will be popularized in the whole province. After three years of secondary vocational education, students who pass the examination can enter the counterpart university for four years and get an undergraduate diploma after graduation.
