Broken temple education
On April 8th, 1946, a plane flying from Chongqing to Yan 'an suffered an air crash in Heichashan, Shanxi due to the weather. On the plane were General Ye Ting, his wife Li Xiuwen, his beloved daughter and his youngest son A Jiu.

After the plane crash, Ye Ting's family and Wang Ruofei, Deng Fa and Qin Bangxian on the same plane were all killed.

This is the "April 8 air crash" that shocked China and foreign countries!

At this time, Ye Ting had just finished more than five years of painful imprisonment. Prior to this, Ye Ting was illegally arrested by the Kuomintang during the Southern Anhui Incident, and was held in Shangrao, Jiangxi, Enshi, Hubei, Guilin, Guangxi, and finally transferred to the concentration camp of China-US Institute of Special Technical Cooperation in Chongqing.

During this period, General Ye Ting suffered all kinds of torture, but he remained steadfast and unyielding. He also wrote the famous Prison Song in prison. In the face of the surrender of Chen Cheng, Dai Li and other Kuomintang officials at that time, his answer was the sentence in this poem:

Ye Ting, who wrote this poem at that time, never imagined that what he wrote in the poem at that time would become a prophecy in a few years: he really died of fire and blood because of an air crash. The difference is that he is free now.

Ye Ting's sacrifice was largely due to his fear of returning to Yan 'an, a revolutionary base, to serve the country and the rebirth of the people's ideals. After all, in the Southern Anhui Incident, both he and the New Fourth Army suffered great changes, which made him "twice shy".

After the news of General Ye Ting's sacrifice reached Yan 'an, Chairman Mao wrote sadly: "It is a great honor to die for the people." Premier Zhou wrote tearfully: "You are the founder of the people's team. During the Northern Expedition and the Anti-Japanese War, you made great contributions to the liberation of the people by the New Fourth Army. " The people lamented that he was a veritable "flame angel"!

Ye Ting died this year at the age of 50. At this time, among the six daughters he left behind, the eldest son Ye 19 years old, the second son next year 15 years old, the fourth hypocotyl flower next year 1 1 year old, the six female leaves 9 years old, the seventh cotyledon 8 years old and the eighth cotyledon only 4 years old.

When the bad news came, Ye Guang Qi, who was only four years old, could not fully understand the meanings of the words "sacrifice" and "death". But fate is so cruel that the child waiting for a happy reunion with his parents in Yan 'an suddenly became an orphan. At the same time, they have to bear the pain of losing their brothers and sisters.

For Premier Zhou, the death of the Ye Ting family is undoubtedly an unprecedented blow. You should know that he has always had a good relationship with him. Ye Yangmei, the daughter of Ye Ting on the same plane as Ye Ting, was also recognized as a daughter by Premier Zhou.

Before the disaster, Premier Zhou specially took Ye Ting's children to Yan 'an and arranged for them to live in their own caves. In order to make Ye Ting happy, he also sent his favorite daughter Ye Yangmei to Chongqing. Immersed in joy, Premier Zhou even imagined the lively scene of Ye Ting's family gathering in the cave after Ye Ting came back. Suddenly, everything was empty.

After the death of Ye Ting, Premier Zhou continued to take care of the children of martyrs.

At this time, Ye Ting's second son, Ye Zhengming, was in middle school in Yan 'an.

Ye Zhengming will always remember that he learned the news of his parents' sacrifice on April 65438, 2002. At that time, they saw the report in the home of Commander-in-Chief Zhu. After seeing the bad news, he and his brother burst into tears on the spot.

People around them looked at them and said, "Don't cry. You can't cry when you're dead. I can only study hard to inherit my parents' wishes. Crying can't accomplish the unfinished task of predecessors. "

The next day, Chairman Mao called them to the cave and said to them, "Our home is your home". After returning to school, they also received more than a dozen letters of condolences from school classmates on behalf of individuals and groups.

On April 15, Ye Zhengming wrote a eulogy for his father, entitled "Dedicated to the Dead Father and Mother". In this eulogy, Ye Zhengming mentioned his father's unfinished liberation in his early years.

It can be said that although Ye Zhengming was a minor at that time, he had a profound understanding of the revolution under the influence of his father. After all, during his imprisonment, Ye Ting was also the eldest child who spent the longest time with his father. Naturally, he was also deeply influenced by his father.

1942 65438+In mid-February, after the Kuomintang transferred Ye Ting, who was detained in Chongqing, to Enshi, Hubei, Ye Zhengming was sent to his father's "home" in Enshi at Ye Ting's strong request to reunite with his parents.

When they were reunited, Ye Zhengming's brother and sister had been separated from their father for a long time. Later, in the article General Ye Ting, My Father, he described the meeting at that time. He wrote:

During this time, Ye Ting's family has been living with her mother-in-law Liu Deyi and sister Li Xiuwen's family, so that the number of people who opened their mouths to eat at that time reached 15. In order to survive, Ye Ting had to take Ye Zhengming and other children to grow vegetables on the hillside. At that time, they also raised many rabbits and chickens and ducks at home.

At that time, Ye Zhengming was only 1 1 years old, but he also knew through observation that his family was under surveillance. And these people who are watching them are Kuomintang agents.

Ye Zhengming always remembers that their life was very difficult at that time. But even in this case, Ye Ting refused to compromise in the face of threats and inducements from the Kuomintang.

During that time, under the surveillance of undercover agents, Ye Ting dressed up as a farmer all day, wearing a straw hat and lifting his pants. Whenever he is free, he hoes, digs wild vegetables and tends sheep. At that time, what Ye Zhengming heard most from his father was: "People should have backbone when they are alive."

At that time, every night, Ye Zhengming and his brothers and sisters would gather around his father and listen to his stories about his past service in the army. Sometimes, he will tell the children some news about the victory of the liberated areas. In this way, Xiaoye Zhengming has a further understanding of the revolution in a subtle way.

The best education always leads by example. After seeing that his father would rather not have enough to eat and wear than be tempted by the enemy, Ye Zhengming also strengthened his determination to be a man of backbone.

On the first day of studying in the best middle school in Hubei, he was called Xiao * * * because he preached * * *, and was therefore monitored by Kuomintang agents. But he never takes these things seriously. He still insists on telling his classmates about the Liberated Areas, the Eighth Route Army and the New Fourth Army every day.

Soon, Ye Zhengming's behavior aroused the dissatisfaction of the school. One day, he was finally called to the office by the headmaster. When he received the summons, Ye Zhengming decided that he must have been reported for his propaganda.

Usually a teenager is bound to have fear in the face of such a situation. Ye Zhengming, who has always followed his father's example, is not only not afraid, but also very proud. He feels that he and his idol father are infinitely close at this time. Another reason why he is not afraid is that he believes that the headmaster really dare not do anything to him.

So, when the headmaster threw the report exposing him in front of him. Ye Zhengming confidently said to the headmaster, "Excuse me, headmaster, what are you going to do to me?"

Ye Zhengming was very angry when the headmaster saw his attitude. But he still tried to put on a generous gesture and said with a smile, "Go back and think about it. If you want to turn over a new leaf, write me a repentance book. Otherwise, hum ... "

Before the headmaster finished speaking, the clever Ye Zhengming understood: "What he can do for himself is nothing more than expulsion or repetition." . And this result, he felt that he could not bear it.

Ye Zhengming dared to be completely fearless in front of the principal at that time, naturally because he was used to seeing his father threatened. Obviously, the image of my father's perseverance every time he is threatened has penetrated into the bone marrow.

Later, because he refused to write a repentance book. At the end of the semester, Ye Zhengming, who had been doing well, received the notice of repeating the grade from the school.

At the disposal of the school, Ye Zhengming. He even snorted from his nose after seeing the notice of repeating the grade, and at the same time, he deeply felt that this list was proof that he had the same backbone and belief as his father.

When Ye Ting learned the truth, he spoke highly of his son's behavior. He also called him "a good boy with backbone and not afraid of evil forces."

Really never afraid of evil forces? Ye Zhengming's answer is no, along with his father, he is afraid of the danger that may come at any time, especially on the night when his father disappeared.

One night, someone told Ye Ting that their cow had been robbed. After checking, Ye Ting found that the cow tied to the tree was really gone, so he decided to go up the mountain to look for it immediately. Ye Zhengming and his brothers and sisters offered to go with their father, but since it was already dark, Ye Ting insisted on going alone.

When it was completely dark, Ye Zhengming didn't see his father come back. He inferred from his mother Li Xiuwen's anxious expression that something might have happened to his father.

Left, right, etc. Before he reached Ye Ting, Li Xiuwen picked up a flashlight, tied on a headscarf, and hurried to the back hill. Ye Zhengming's brothers and sisters saw this scene and followed their mother up the hill. After going up the mountain, Ye Zhengming and his brothers and sisters kept shouting "Dad", but all they could answer was the echo of the valley.

At that time, Ye Zhengming really felt the fear. After shouting for hours, his father didn't respond, and he and his brothers and sisters cried into a ball.

Only then did they know that Ye Ting had been completely annoyed because Chiang Kai-shek refused to eat hard and soft. On the same day, he was put into a carriage and secretly put into prison.

On the day of his father's disappearance, Li Xiuwen cried with her mother Liu Deyi and the children in her arms. Later, their family's life was even more embarrassing, and later they even had to rest in a ruined temple.

People say that "it is better to treat barren hills than to sleep in a ruined temple". Ye Zhengming didn't believe this before, and he didn't know what the ancients said was valid until he was really robbed by bandits in the ruined temple.

If Li Xiuwen's mother didn't throw her purse into the grass wisely, the whole family might starve to death on the way.

But fear didn't weaken Ye Zhengming. On the contrary, after that, he learned more about the meaning of power. He studies very hard and helps both at home and abroad.

Suffering made Ye Zhengming and his brothers and sisters precocious, so there was a firm expression on his face at an early age.

When Premier Zhou first met Ye Zhengming, he noticed that the child was different. After getting to know him better, Premier Zhou concluded that this is a good prospect who can inherit his father Ye Ting in all aspects.

Therefore, after his father Ye Ting died, Premier Zhou talked to Ye Zhengming alone and encouraged him to "study hard and inherit his father's great achievements". In order to inspire him better, Premier Zhou even wrote an inscription for him, "Smell the chicken and dance, be a good son of the revolutionary general".

After writing the inscription, Premier Zhou told him the story of "smelling chickens dancing". After Premier Zhou talked about the origin and significance of smelling chicken dancing, he also taught Ye Zhengming:

On that day, Ye Zhengming, who had just lost his parents, was deeply moved when he heard these words from Premier Zhou and himself in the moonlight. He deeply felt that, as the son of Ye Ting, it was necessary for him to succeed his father in completing his unfinished "great cause".

From then on, whether in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, during the Soviet Union, or after returning to China, Ye Zhengming was always "dancing at the smell of chickens" when he was engaged in space technology work in the Seventh Machinery Department. He has always regarded his study and work as contributing to the prosperity of the country and the nation. Only in this way can he feel worthy of being the son of a martyr in Ye Ting.

Later, Ye Zhengming became an excellent general of China People's Liberation Army. Before his death, he served as a scientific and technological consultant of the General Armament Department of the People's Liberation Army of China, a director of the China Association for the Promotion of Foreign Applied Technology Exchange, and became an expert enjoying special government allowance.

Ye Zhengming's other surviving brothers and sisters, without exception, have become talented people and have done their best in the great cause of building the country. Among them, his eldest brother Ye is the first batch of aviation experts trained in New China, who has made outstanding contributions in the field of aviation science and technology, won many meritorious service awards and won the "Victory" meritorious service award of the China People's Liberation Army from 65438 to 0998.

Huaming Ye, the fourth brother of Ye Zhengming, became the first group of experts to develop surface-to-air missiles in New China. It is worth mentioning that at first, Huaming Ye's dream was to become a pilot. But because four people were killed in the plane crash, General Nie Rong Zhen never agreed to his choice.

In the end, Huaming Ye, who couldn't beat Nie Shuai, had to choose aero-engine major, and later became an outstanding expert in the field of surface-to-air missile development.

Ye Ting's children can grow into pillars of the country, which is the result of Ye Ting's spiritual guidance and the inevitable result of several old coaches' efforts to protect and take care of them.

End: Pay tribute to the heroes in Ye Ting, to the old coaches who have taken care of the children of heroes and heroes, and to all the predecessors who have devoted their lives to our country, such as Ye Zhengming!
