What is the medical English proficiency test?
The English proficiency test for medical students is organized and implemented by the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education in conjunction with the Health and Family Planning Commission, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and other relevant institutions. The MedicalEnglishTestSystem (METS) is a socialized English proficiency test for medical and health professionals in China. METS inspection standard is established based on the actual needs of hospitals in China.

Characteristics of medical English proficiency test

METS certificate is divided into four levels, the first level is the primary level and the fourth level is the highest level. METS certificates of secondary vocational school students correspond to four levels: undergraduate, master and doctor respectively. The medical English proficiency test jointly organized by the health and education departments ensures the professionalism and practicality of the test.

Under the new talent training mode, we will provide medical colleges in China with a teaching evaluation method combining ability with occupation, build a bridge between hospitals and teaching units in talent training, talent selection and talent evaluation, and gradually expand from specialized foreign language courses to other majors in the medical field.
