In the early days of liberation, Yangloudong Village was once the seat of the 67th Preparatory Hospital of China People's Liberation Army. During the five years from 195 1 to 1956, more than 200 patients were transferred from the battlefield or other hospitals for treatment. Most of these patients were injured in the War of Liberation and the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. Among them, from February 195 10 to 1955 142 people died. They came from 24 provinces including Jehol Province (now Hebei Province), Western Liaoning Province, Liaodong Province (now Liaoning Province) and Taiwan Province Province. Yu, a retired policeman from chibi city, learned of this situation and the activities of "finding relatives" for martyrs who died for the liberation of Taiyuan organized by our school in the winter and summer vacations in 2006, and specially carried out the activities of finding relatives for martyrs in Yangloudong with the Youth League Committee. Hundreds of students from 28 departments of Huazhong University of Science and Technology enthusiastically signed up, and more than 400 volunteers were divided into 32 search groups according to the birthplace of Yinglie. After a month, they finally found relatives for 1 1 Yinglie, such as Liu Baochu, Zhou Zitang and Hu Jinhai. On April 2nd, some members of the "Martyrs' Family Tracing Mission" of our school and representatives of martyrs' relatives, led by Ouyang Kang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of our school, and Wang Zhiyong, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of our school, went to Yangloudong Village in chibi city to pay tribute to the 142 Republic martyrs buried here with the local government and people.

After being reported by major media, the activity of "finding relatives for martyrs" aroused strong repercussions in the society. People from all walks of life have contacted Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Chibi Municipal Government and spontaneously participated in the activity of "finding relatives for martyrs". This summer vacation, Zhu Zifa, a student of the school, began to find relatives for martyrs. Last winter vacation, he went to many places, but he didn't find the relatives of the martyrs in the end. There are always some regrets. Although the school didn't organize the activity of "finding relatives for martyrs" this summer vacation, he started the "finding relatives journey" spontaneously and didn't give up easily. After many field visits and checking the situation one by one, I finally found the former residence of Zhou Jinguo Martyrs in Fuhe Village, Pu Ge Town, Yunmeng County yesterday afternoon.

Chibi city Public Security Bureau sent an official letter to the public security bureau where the martyr was located, hoping to help find his relatives. After receiving the official letter from chibi city Public Security Bureau, Yizhou Public Security Bureau of Guangxi immediately organized police to search for relatives of martyrs within its jurisdiction, and finally found relatives for the martyrs Liang Liangcheng and Qin in Guangxi. The police in Tongxian County, Heilongjiang Province actively organized manpower to find relatives such as nephews for Lu Zhanfu martyrs within their jurisdiction; Police in wugang city, Henan Province found Liu Yao, a 62-year-old son, for Liu Yijing, a martyr of Wuyang nationality. So far, with the efforts of all walks of life, six martyrs have returned to their hometowns since the Chinese University of Science and Technology students found their relatives for the 1 1 martyrs who died in Yanglou Cave during the winter vacation. Yu, a policeman from chibi city, said with emotion, "This is a nationwide family-seeking activity initiated by enthusiastic young students and participated by the society. I believe that more martyrs will be able to return to their hometowns! "

In March 2007, Huazhong University of Science and Technology and chibi city Municipal People's Government jointly established the "Red Search Base of Huazhong University of Science and Technology" in Yangloudong Martyrs Cemetery, making it a permanent patriotic education base.
