Sintering dust collector
The picture shows a typical bag filter.

The filter bag is hung indoors, dust is captured by the filter bag, and the purified gas is discharged from the outlet.

After a period of time, turn on the air back-blowing system to blow back the dust.

(1) Clean the filter cloth, the fiber plays a role in catching dust, with large porosity and low dust removal efficiency;

(2) The amount of collected dust is increasing, one part is embedded in the filter cloth, and the other part covers the surface to form a dust layer. The dust layer is the main filter for dusty gas, which greatly improves the dust removal efficiency.

(3) The dust layer thickens, and the dust removal efficiency increases, but the resistance increases. Dust is discharged from the dust collector by various cleaning methods.

Dust removal mechanism

The mesh size of the filter cloth is larger than 20-50μm, and the oil cloth with raised surface is about 5- 10μm, but it can remove dust particles below1μ m. The main mechanism is as follows:

① Screen filtration: the particle size of dust is larger than the pores of the filter cloth, and the dust is trapped. The pores of the new filter cloth are much larger than the particle size of dust, and the retention effect is very small. When a large amount of dust is deposited on the surface of the filter cloth, the retention effect is significantly increased.

(2) Inertial collision: the dusty airflow approaches the filter cloth fibers, and the airflow will bypass the fibers, and the dust particles will continue to move straight forward due to inertia and be captured by hitting the fibers. Inertial collision increases with the increase of dust particle size and velocity.

③ Diffusion: When the air velocity is very low, the dust particles smaller than 1 micron will break away from the streamline under the impact of gas molecules and do Brownian motion like gas molecules. If they come into contact with fibers during movement, they may be separated from the airflow.

(4) Electrostatic action: dust and the surface of the filter cloth may be charged, and when the charges are opposite, the dust is easily adsorbed on the filter cloth; On the contrary, dust will be repelled. If there is an external electric field, the electrostatic effect can be strengthened and the dust removal efficiency can be improved.

⑤ Gravity settlement: When the slowly moving dusty airflow enters the dust collector, the dust particles with large particle size and high density may naturally settle due to gravity.
