The National Science Popularization Education Base, established by China Association for Science and Technology, aims to fully mobilize the enthusiasm of science popularization work in all aspects of society, give full play to the role of social science popularization resources, carry out science popularization education activities for the public, actively promote the socialization, popularization and regularization of science popularization work, and serve the implementation of the strategy of "rejuvenating the country through science and education" and improving the scientific and cultural quality of the public. 1999, China Association for Science and Technology initiated the establishment of a national popular science education base.
