I. Functions:
According to the function adjustment opinions of Kunshan Municipal People's Government, the main responsibilities of the Municipal Education Bureau include the following thirteen aspects.
(1) Fully implement the education policies of the Party and the state, and implement the education-related laws and regulations; Responsible for formulating opinions and measures for the implementation of education in this Municipality, and supervising the implementation; Responsible for the city's education supervision.

(four) in conjunction with the relevant departments to develop education fund-raising, school fees, education funding and education infrastructure investment policies, guidance, management and supervision of the use of education fund-raising; Make overall arrangements for education funds, education surcharge, local education surcharge, teachers' continuing education funds and other funds used by the city in the municipal budget; Overall management of the Ministry's education funds; Responsible for auditing and supervising the use of funds by units directly under the Bureau; According to the relevant provisions of the management of domestic and foreign aid and loans for education in this city.
(five) overall planning and guidance of teachers and education administrative cadres at all levels in this Municipality. To manage the employment of teachers' graduates, the qualification of teachers, the wages of teaching staff, professional titles, rewards and punishments, the appointment and dismissal of cadres and the retirement of teachers within the management authority, guide the reform of the education and personnel system, and be responsible for and guide the continuing education of teachers and the training of cadres in this Municipality.
(6) Centralized management of academic certification of compensatory education, improvement of academic education and national academic examinations, and enrollment of schools at all levels. Responsible for the assessment of citizens' common foreign languages and computers; Responsible for the training, examination and assessment of teachers' modern educational technology and foreign language ability.
(seven) under the guidance of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection (Supervision Bureau), responsible for the party's discipline inspection and administrative supervision work in schools and institutions directly under the Bureau; Responsible for and cooperate with the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Township Commission for Discipline Inspection to inspect the Party's discipline and administrative supervision in the city's education system.
(8) to guide the moral education, education and teaching, educational scientific research, sports and health, aesthetic education, labor and technology education, national defense, environmental protection and other educational work in all kinds of schools in the city.

(10) Manage overseas investment schools with relevant departments, and carry out foreign education exchanges and cooperation.
