When is the national safety education day for primary and secondary schools?
National safety education day for primary and secondary schools: Monday in the last week of March every year.

Starting from 1996, the week of the last week of March will be the national safety education day for primary and secondary school students in China. The purpose of establishing this system is to comprehensively and deeply promote the safety education of primary and secondary school students, vigorously reduce the incidence of all kinds of casualty accidents, do a good job in the safety protection of primary and secondary school students, and promote their healthy growth.

Importance:

The last Monday of March every year is the national safety education day for primary and secondary school students. According to the survey data released by the research department, safety accidents have become the "first killer" of children under 14.

At present, accidental injuries of primary and secondary school students occur from time to time. Experts point out that more than 80% of accidental injuries can be avoided through safety education and prevention to improve students' self-protection ability. In order to ensure the safety and healthy growth of students, we should vigorously carry out safety education and formulate the Campus Safety Law as soon as possible. According to the survey, there are more than 20 hidden dangers involved in the life and study of school teenagers, including food poisoning, sports injury, online dating, traffic accidents, fires, drowning and so on. These are harmful to the physical and mental health of teenagers. The survey results also show that the places where parents are most worried about children's injuries are: school (5 1.44%), public places (36.32%), natural environment (10.44%) and home (1.8%), among which school is the place where parents are most worried about children's injuries. According to the investigation and analysis, a considerable number of students' injury accidents at school are caused by poor awareness of school prevention, inadequate safety management measures, poor facilities and improper behavior of students themselves.

Wang Yuequn, an expert in educational legal system at the Academy of Educational Sciences, said that protecting students' safety is the common responsibility of schools, families and society. In order to eliminate potential safety hazards, schools should really incorporate safety education into education and teaching content, guide students to establish safety awareness, master safety knowledge and improve their self-protection ability. Parents should earnestly fulfill their guardianship responsibilities for their children and take safety education as an important part of family education.
