The network management center of Zhengzhou University undertakes the operation task of the provincial main node network center of about 600,000 broadband IP users in more than 70 access units in the province, and participates in the construction task of the backbone network of Henan education and scientific research computer network connecting the province 18 cities with 2.5Gbps bandwidth; Responsible for the network operation and maintenance of nearly 240 buildings in four campuses and six family areas of Zhengzhou University; Provide 365-day ×24-hour uninterrupted internet access service for users of the province's education and research network.

In June, 20001,Zhengzhou university distance education college was established with the staff of the network management center as the main body, and realized modern distance education based on the internet with the aim of "based on Henan and facing the whole country". In order to give full play to the talent advantage of the network management center, Cisco Network Technology College was established, which trained a large number of network technology talents for Henan Province. By the end of 2004, Zhengzhou University Network Management Center had trained 18 postgraduates majoring in computer network, among whom 6 obtained master's degrees. There are more than 50 university graduates majoring in computer network. In 2003, the Key Open Laboratory of Henan Information Network, which was based on Zhengzhou University Network Management Center, successfully passed the project demonstration.
