Xiaoxiang No.1 03 Star (Sinomenine Star) is a 6U new technology experimental satellite independently developed by Tianyi Research Institute, and it is also the result of cooperation between Ivy University and Tianyi Research Institute. This time, Ivy University and Tianyi Research Institute, on behalf of many student enterprises of Tencent and Ivy University, conducted multi-scenario exploration in future commercial satellite applications.
The design life of the satellite is one year, and its main load is a panchromatic miniature remote sensing camera. It is planned to carry out remote sensing imaging technology verification based on industrial lenses and commercial high-performance detectors.
At the same time, the satellite is equipped with an off-orbit sail independently developed by Tianyi Research Institute. Off-track sail is a passive off-track device. Its purpose is to prevent a cubic star from becoming space junk that stays in space for a long time after its failure. At the end of its life, a low-cost brake sail device is used to make it quickly derail.
The self-developed celestial instrument orbital sail covers an area of about 0.7 square meters, which not only meets the requirements of satellite passive deorbiting, but also has the characteristics of miniaturization, light weight and high reliability. It is planned to carry out the first on-orbit technical verification six months after the satellite is put into orbit, and it is expected that Xiaoxiang-1 03 satellite will be deorbited within June-65438+February.
In addition, the satellite is also equipped with a programmable satellite payload developed by Aerospace Maker (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Aerospace Maker"). The payload adopts dual Linux cold standby system, which supports the on-board automatic deployment of C language programs and Python programs, and allows students to upload their programs to the satellite payload for execution through satellite measurement and control channels after satellite launch, thus truly "playing" the satellite. At the same time, Tianyi and Aerospace Maker joined hands with China Aerospace Science and Technology Education Alliance and Beijing Love Yuanshan Foundation to launch a public welfare plan for aerospace science and technology education, hoping to ignite students' aerospace dreams and help the strategy of becoming a space power.
By the end of 20 19,65438+10,19, all the satellites of tianyi research institute had been in orbit for 900 days, among which the xiaoxiang-1 02 satellite independently developed by tianyi had been in orbit for one year.
According to the current plan, Tianyi will launch 5-6 missions this year, involving about 20 microsatellites. While providing short-term, low-cost, one-stop overall solutions for commercial microsatellites for scientific research institutes, universities and commercial enterprises at home and abroad, it will also carry a series of key technologies to verify Tianyi's future constellation plan.
