Modern psychology and educational statistics are the application of statistics in the research of modern psychology and educational science, and can also be said to be a branch of applied statistics. This subject mainly focuses on the research in the fields of psychology and pedagogy, teaching the basic principles of statistics and how to use statistics. This subject has played a certain role in the development and perfection of applied statistics. Psychological statistics and educational statistics are both branches of applied statistics, which teach statistical principles and methods of different disciplines of psychology and pedagogy respectively, with very different learning emphases. Comparatively speaking, psychostatistics emphasizes the choice of statistical methods under different experimental designs, and more uses variance analysis and t-test, while educational statistics rarely involves experimental designs, mainly descriptive statistics and regression analysis in inferential statistic. Modern psychology and educational statistics pay more attention to the introduction of basic statistical principles and methods in applied statistics, such as hypothesis testing, variance analysis and regression analysis. It should be said that modern psychology and educational statistics cannot cover all the contents of psychological statistics and educational statistics. But in the study of basic principles and methods, I try to lay a solid foundation for the study of psychological statistics and educational statistics.
