Rank of the fourth round of national subject evaluation results
The Center for Degree and Postgraduate Education Development of the Ministry of Education announced the results of the fourth round of national discipline assessment. In 20 16, 95 first-level disciplines carried out the fourth round of evaluation (excluding military science and other disciplines 16), and 7,449 disciplines from 5 13 units participated in the evaluation.

Different from the previous three rounds of evaluation, this evaluation does not publish scores and rankings. Peking University and Tsinghua University take the lead with 2 1a+ level disciplines, followed by Zhejiang University, China Renmin University and University of Science and Technology of China with 1 19 and 7 A+ level disciplines respectively.

In addition, China Agricultural University has six A+ level disciplines, while Fudan University, Southeast University and Shanghai Jiaotong University each have five A+ level disciplines. As a military school, National University of Defense Technology was rated as A+ in four first-class disciplines, including system science, computer science and technology.

However, in recent years, various rankings based on academic titles and the number of papers have caused a lot of controversy and criticism. In order to avoid the above problems, evaluation indexes and methods are specially designed when measuring academic level, such as abandoning the one-sided practice of "evaluating academic level only by academic titles" (commonly known as "counting hats"); Strive to build a quality-oriented evaluation method for academic papers, and overcome the evaluation method of only the number of papers and foreign periodicals; Set up a separate "social service contribution" index and evaluate it through public "representative cases".
