What policies and regulations do private schools charge?
According to the Regulations for the Implementation of the Law on the Promotion of Private Education in People's Republic of China (PRC), the people's governments of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government can set a maximum price for non-profit private schools whose public schools participate in the establishment, use state-owned assets or receive government subsidies per student.

"Regulations for the Implementation of the Law on the Promotion of Private Education in People's Republic of China (PRC)" Article 42 A private school shall establish a school-running cost accounting system, and reasonably determine the fees according to factors such as school-running cost and market demand, following the principles of fairness, legality, honesty and credit, taking into account economic and social benefits.

Purpose and standard. The people's governments of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government may set a maximum price for non-profit private schools in which public schools participate in the establishment and use of state-owned assets or receive government subsidies per student.

Article 43 The supervision and management of state-owned assets in the assets of private schools shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state.
