The Education Department of Shandong Province is a department of the provincial government, and the Education Working Committee of Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China is an agency of the provincial party committee, which co-operates with the Education Department of Shandong Province. Shandong Provincial Department of Education (Education Committee of Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China), hereinafter referred to as the Provincial Department of Education (Education Committee of the Provincial Committee), is the main hall level.

The Provincial Department of Education (Education Working Committee of the Provincial Party Committee) implements the Party's educational principles and policies, implements the central government's decision-making arrangements on education, does a good job in Party building and ideological work in the province's education system in accordance with the requirements of the provincial party Committee and the provincial government, promotes the high-quality development of education, and adheres to and strengthens the Party's centralized and unified leadership over education in the process of performing its duties.

The main responsibilities are:

Study and formulate the party building plan of the education system in the whole province and guide its implementation. Responsible for the investigation and study of major issues concerning Party building in the education system of the whole province, put forward opinions and suggestions to the provincial party committee, and make decisions on relevant issues within the scope of functions and powers.
