As an important part of human resource management in colleges and universities, counselors play an important role in college students' affairs management, mental health and ideological education. But in recent years, the post management of college counselors is unorganized. Non-establishment management mainly means that the regulations and treatment of college counselors are different from those of cadres, but it does not mean that counselors do not exist. According to the current regulations of the Ministry of Education, college counselors can entrust social forces to manage or adopt short-term contract system, or arrange interns or part-time staff to serve as counselors. But the specific situation of different universities is different. Some universities still have a large number of counselors, and some universities have basically achieved non-establishment management. In addition, it should be noted that although college counselors have implemented unorganized management now, it does not mean that this position is unimportant or poorly paid. Through reasonable arrangement and management, colleges and universities can still recruit excellent counselors and provide them with reasonable working conditions, training opportunities and channels for talent promotion.
How do college counselors evaluate and examine? The evaluation of college counselors is mainly divided into two levels: school level and professional level. The assessment at the school level is mainly aimed at evaluating and judging the work performance of counselors in college students' ideological guidance, mental health and academic counseling. The specific contents include organizing various cultural and sports activities, conducting academic research, and participating in social welfare projects. On the professional level, evaluation is to evaluate and judge the skills and professional level of counselors in professional work. Specifically, it includes participating in various professional trainings, publishing academic achievements, and applying for scientific research projects.
Although the position of college counselors has been managed without staffing, it does not mean that there is no staffing available. Colleges and universities need to arrange and manage counselors reasonably, provide them with appropriate training opportunities and promotion channels, so as to attract outstanding talents to engage in this profession and ensure high-quality student service. At the same time, for counselors themselves, it is also necessary to constantly improve their literacy and professional ability, and provide better support and help for schools and students.
