The Weibo Prize is hosted by Sina Weibo, and Weibo Night is a comprehensive honor ceremony held by Sina in Chinese mainland. Hosted by Tencent, the Star Award is a major event of Tencent Video at the end of each year.

Weibo Night was founded in 2004, and its embryonic form originated from two annual selection activities, namely: since 2000, Sina and Southern Weekend have held the "People of the Year Selection of Southern Weekend-Sina.com" every year from 65438 to February; Since 2002, Sina and Xinhuanet have held the "Annual Top Ten News Selection Activities at Home and Abroad" from June 5th to 10 every year.

The first Tencent Video Starlight Award was held in Beijing on 20 16 12 10.

3. Different awards

The important awards of Weibo Night are: movie of the year, TV series of the year and director of the year. Candidates for each honor are determined by Sina Weibo's annual "Weibo Index", and then the final evaluation is made according to the number of netizens' votes and comprehensive expert opinions.

Tencent Video Star Awards revealed many honors such as the most popular TV actor of the year, the most popular TV actor of the year, the cutting-edge TV actor of the year, the most popular movie actor of the year, the most popular male MC of the year, and the star of the variety show of the year.
