Changes in enrollment policy
In 2023, the enrollment policy of primary and secondary schools in the main city of Suzhou added the "Yongqiao District Purchase Admission Policy". On May 16, 2022, the office of Suzhou Urban and Rural Construction Command issued the document "Several Measures for Promoting the Stable and Healthy Development of the Real Estate Market" (Su Jian Zhi Ban [2022] No.5) to implement the policy of purchasing houses and entering households.
The detailed implementation rules stipulate that: children of owners of Yongqiao District who newly purchased houses (including forward houses) in the main urban area of Suzhou from May 16, 2022 to May 15, 2024 (including May 15).
Newly-purchased second-hand houses in the main urban area of Suzhou, with the same property calculated from June 5438+ 10. A school period (six years of primary school and three years of junior high school) in principle only enjoys one admission quota (except for multiple births and second children). The procurement time shall be subject to the filing date of the procurement contract. Eligible children of owners in Yongqiao District will study in public primary schools and junior high schools in the school district where they live from the fall semester of 2023.
Changes in the Admission Policy of Migrant Workers' Children
According to the original policy and the spirit of the document 20 16 "Guiding Opinions on Doing a Good Job in Compulsory Education for Migrant Workers' Children" of Suzhou Municipal Education and Sports Bureau (No.206543819),
Migrant workers (household registration outside the district) can enroll their children in the school district where they live in this city with household registration book, residence permit, labor contract, basic old-age insurance, address certificate and other materials verified by the school. If the school degree of the school district where you live is full, the Yongqiao District Education and Sports Bureau will make overall arrangements for admission.
Adjusted to: Suzhou's main urban area will comprehensively establish a compulsory education enrollment policy for migrant workers' children based on residence permits. Migrant workers (household registration outside the district) can enroll their children in the school district where they live in this city with household registration book, residence permit, basic old-age insurance, address certificate and other materials verified by the school. If the school degree in the school district where you live is full, the education department will make overall arrangements for admission.
