Shahe Middle School has poor school conditions and great social repercussions. Considering the reality of layout adjustment planning, in April 2004, the county party committee and county government decided to cancel the senior middle school of Shahe Middle School.

From June to July, 2004, the Education Bureau of Ganyu County diverted the teachers and students of the two high schools to other high schools in an orderly manner, and successfully completed the merger task in August of the same year.
