Shangrao Education Bureau is the functional department in charge of education of Shangrao Municipal People's Government, and it is an administrative unit at the level. The unit has 10 administrative departments, including office, personnel department, basic education department, development planning department, vocational education department, sports department, security and stability department, government party Committee, education union, supervision department, teaching and research department (deputy department level), audio-visual education hall and recruitment department.

The main responsibilities of the Ministry of Education are:

(a) to fully implement the educational principles, policies and regulations of the party and the state, study and formulate specific principles and policies for ethnic education and organize their implementation.

(2) To study and formulate the national education development plan and annual development plan, draw up the focus, scale, speed and steps of education development, and organize, guide and coordinate the implementation of the national education development plan, annual plan, educational system reform and school-running system reform.

(3) To be responsible for national basic education (including preschool education), special education, vocational and technical education, after-school education, adult education and higher education (including running schools by social forces), and to coordinate, guide and supervise the educational work of all districts, counties (countries) and relevant departments.

(four) responsible for the construction of national teachers and education administrative cadres, responsible for the qualification of primary and secondary school principals; Participate in the formulation of relevant policies and rules and regulations on personnel management in the national education system; Guide the reform of education and personnel system, and organize the implementation of employment distribution for graduates of normal universities.

(five) the overall management of the department's education funds; To participate in the formulation of rules, regulations and measures on education fund raising, education loans, education fees and education infrastructure investment; According to the growth principle of education funds determined by the CPC Central Committee, the State Council, the province and the state, monitor the collection and use of education funds in all districts and counties (prefectures), and manage the funds and state-owned assets of national education capital construction and affiliated educational institutions according to relevant regulations; Guide the work-study program and school-run industrial work within the national education system.

(six) responsible for the adjustment of the layout planning of all kinds of school outlets in the country, as well as the management of school infrastructure, school buildings, school property and educational land.

(seven) responsible for the management of national academic education and examination. Work with relevant departments to study and formulate enrollment plans for schools of all levels and types throughout the country. Responsible for continuing education, adult self-study exams, and eliminating illiteracy among young people.

(eight) responsible for the management, coordination and guidance of the foreign affairs of the education system; Responsible for reviewing overseas students with college education or above; Responsible for coordinating educational exchanges with Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
