Beijing Institute of Labor Relations, located in Beijing, is a full-time undergraduate college jointly founded by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the Ministry of Education and directly under the All-China Federation of Trade Unions. The school's predecessor was the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Administrative Cadre School, which was established in April 1946. At the beginning of 1949, the school moved to Tianjin and changed its name to North China Workers and Cadres School. 1949 in September, it was changed its name to All-China Federation of Trade Unions Cadres School.

1984 was renamed China Institute of Labor Movement, providing adult education for the national trade union system and society. In 2003, it was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate college and renamed China Institute of Labor Relations.
