1 adaptability and social adaptability
The concept of adaptation originally refers to the phenomenon that organisms adapt to environmental conditions and form certain characters in competition. Social adaptability of college students refers to the psychological and behavioral tendency of contemporary college students to adapt to social life through positive self-adjustment based on their understanding and experience of internal and external environmental changes in the process of material exchange and information exchange with society. The social adaptation process of college students is essentially a learning process, and it is a process of internalizing certain values, attitudes and skills into customary norms and personal abilities in daily life. This process enables contemporary college students to improve their sociality and adapt to the colorful social life.
2 the significance of cultivating college students' social adaptability

3. Countermeasures to cultivate college students' social adaptability
The adaptive education of college students is a complicated process, which runs through every detail of life and study. It is a long-term process, which needs teachers to carry out in a planned and targeted manner. According to the actual situation of each academic year, the educational theme and focus are different.
3. 1 freshman year
(1) Admission education. Students have just entered the university. At this time, teachers should first introduce the details of schools, departments and teachers to students, and then let students know their professional settings and employment prospects. Let students get to know each other through class meetings and other forms. In addition, we should also guide students' learning methods. In addition, we should call on students to actively participate in the work of societies and student unions, exercise themselves and enrich themselves. In short, counselors should contact and communicate with students more, make them realize that college life is rich and colorful, let them adapt to the new environment as soon as possible, and devote themselves to their daily study and life work as soon as possible. (2) Purpose education. The focus of purpose education is to let students know the purpose of doing everything. Only by knowing the reasons can we actively strive to achieve the ultimate goal. Let students know more about the meaning of life through theme class meeting or speech contest. (3) the cultivation of communicative competence. Whether in school or at work, interpersonal skills and communication skills are indispensable. The quality of interpersonal relationship directly affects the efficiency of doing things. Good interpersonal relationships can make us get twice the result with half the effort. However, people's communicative competence is based on personality. How to cultivate students' communicative competence? How to make lively and cheerful students and introverted students have good communication skills? First of all, students should be deeply aware of the importance of interpersonal relationships; Then teach students some methods to improve their communication skills, simulate dialogues and scenes, and let students master skills in practice.
3.2 sophomore year
(1) Work ability training. What today's society needs is excellent students with all-round development, who are not only excellent in study, but also strong in all aspects. The goal of cultivating students in universities is to cultivate students into talents with physical and mental health and comprehensive ability, so counselors should call on students to participate in the work of societies or student unions and constantly improve themselves. (2) the cultivation of specialties and hobbies. The cultivation of students' specialties and hobbies can not be ignored. Learning special skills can make students happy, improve their self-confidence and enhance their ability to adapt to society. Counselors must attach importance to students' specialties and hobbies and guide them to make them develop healthily in a certain way. (3) Emotional education. Love is a topic throughout the ages. The choice of love object is a complicated process, and economic, political, cultural, personality and other factors can not be ignored. Love is a major event in life, but it is not the whole of life. Counselors should help students establish a correct view of love, correctly handle the relationship between love, study and career, and correctly handle the frustration of love.
Thanksgiving education is a comprehensive embodiment of the four pillars of modern education: learning to recognize, learning to do things, learning to cooperate and learning to survive. Gratitude is not only an emotion, but also a reflection of life realm, outlook on life, values and world outlook. Only with a grateful heart can we be full of hope for life and rationally face all setbacks and misfortunes in our life journey. Counselors can hold gratitude stories in peacetime.
3.3 Primary stage
(1) frustration education. Modern society is a challenging society, in which it is impossible not to suffer setbacks. If students have not been baptized by setbacks in school and have no concept of correctly treating setbacks, they are like "flowers" in a greenhouse, and they cannot adapt to society well. Frustration education can stimulate students' potential and dampen their self-esteem. Counselors should carry out the concept of frustration on students, artificially create setbacks in daily life, let students face and overcome setbacks bravely, learn knowledge from setbacks, learn lessons from them, and master the correct methods to deal with setbacks in order to better adapt to society in the future. (2) Dedication to education. Dedication is love. Only when love fills the world can there be peace. Counselors should educate students to face society and life with a dedicated heart. If we learn to give, we will have happiness, joy and strength! Giving is always happier than taking! (3) competition mechanism education. Only when there is competition can there be progress, and only when there is competition can there be development. With the reform of distribution system, employment system, employment system and cadre personnel system, young students are facing various tests such as talent market and optimizing labor combination. Therefore, if they want to be in an invincible position in social competition, they must establish a sense of competition and strive to enhance their competitive strength. Counselors must seize the opportunity to educate and cultivate teenagers with a high sense of responsibility and a strong sense of urgency to establish a sense of competition and enhance their competitive strength. They should educate students not only to have a sense of competition, but also to carry forward the style of unity, cooperation and mutual assistance and resolutely oppose and stop unfair competition.
Social adaptability is a lifelong topic for college students, and cultivating college students' social adaptability is a lifelong topic for higher vocational colleges. Higher vocational colleges should raise awareness, change ideas, innovate, cultivate students' ability to adapt to society in many ways, enhance students' ability to adapt to future development, enable students to improve their ability to adapt to society, correctly understand themselves, rationally mobilize their potential, strategically solve all kinds of life difficulties, get rid of all kinds of survival difficulties, scientifically grasp their own life path, and become social citizens with good social adaptability and happiness.
