Brief introduction of Beijing Normal University School of Art and Media
The College of Art and Media of Beijing Normal University currently has five undergraduate majors, eight first-class master's programs in art, and three doctoral programs in art, film, and radio and television arts, among which the doctoral program in film was rated as a key discipline in Beijing and a national key discipline training discipline. The college has the first batch of post-doctoral mobile stations in art in China University, one of the first batch of authorized units for doctoral degrees in the first-level discipline of art in China University, one of the first batch of national pilot units for the enrollment and training of professional degrees of Master of Art (MFA), and one of the units with the largest number of authorized points for doctoral and master's degrees in art departments. In 2004, the Ministry of Education ranked fourth in the country in the only national first-class discipline evaluation of art. The first president of the College of Art and Media was Professor Huang Huilin, a famous filmmaker and art educator, and the current president is Professor Zhou Xing, a member of the art discipline evaluation group of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee and a doctoral supervisor.
