Tan Jiazhen (1 September 909 15-2008 165438+ 10/), a geneticist, was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang, and graduated from California Institute of Technology. He is one of the main founders of modern genetics in China, and is known as "the master of genetics in China". It has trained a large number of outstanding talents for genetic research in China. He used to be dean of the School of Science of Zhejiang University and vice president of Fudan University. After the founding of New China, Tan established China's first genetics major, the first genetics research institute and the first life science college at Fudan University, and served as the deputy editor of China's oversize comprehensive dictionary Da Ci Hai. 1995 won the Outstanding Scientist Award of Qiushi Science Foundation.
