In 2006, the online publishing database of China academic journals, a sub-project of China academic literature, which was undertaken by China Knowledge Network, passed the expert appraisal organized by the General Administration of Press and Publication.
In 2008, China HowNet released a brand-new digital publishing platform and launched personalized customization service, so that anyone and any organization can use China HowNet's massive literature resources and personalized value-added service platform to create their own digital library and customize their favorite content more conveniently and quickly.
2. China Knowledge Infrastructure Project (CNKI)
The concept of national knowledge infrastructure (NKI) was put forward by the World Bank in 1998. CNKI project is an information construction project aimed at realizing the dissemination, sharing and value-added utilization of knowledge resources in the whole society. Initiated by Tsinghua University and Tsinghua Tongfang, it was established in June 1999.
