Guangwai Open College is an open college of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. The Open College of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies is a college of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. A new school-running model was established in June, 1995. By enrolling full-time self-taught students, it explores a new way for colleges and universities to hold open education, and tries to "push in and push out" higher education.

The college is located in Xiamao Road, Baiyun District, Guangzhou. The college consists of seven teaching units, including Computer Department, English Department, Business English Department, International Business Department, Japanese Department, Business Economics Department and Creative Animation Department. There are undergraduate and professional courses such as art design, computer and application, accounting, finance and taxation, English, business English, English education, Japanese, international trade, and foreign-related secretarial majors.

Guangwai Open College has nearly 400 teachers (including professors 15 and associate professors 50). According to the types of teachers, there are more than 200 full-time teachers and part-time teachers in secondary colleges of universities. According to the professional setting, there are more than 200 English teachers, more than 80 economic and trade teachers and more than 70 Japanese teachers.

There are more than 30 teachers of public basic courses and 7 teachers of art and quality education. In addition, the school has hired 20 foreign experts and teachers. Since the establishment of the college, the faculty and staff of the college have published more than 30 papers 130 in some well-known journals in China, such as Exploration of Higher Education, Journal of University, Contemporary Education, and compiled more than 30 books such as teaching materials.
